Baptism and the New Believer
At First Christian Church we strongly affirm that everyone who desires to confess Jesus as their Lord (Romans 10:9-10) should, “repent and be baptized…in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And…receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38). “Repentance” being that one turns away from pursuing the sinful life and begin pursuing a holy life (1 Peter 1:13-16). “Baptism,” meaning immerse or dip (Acts 8:36-39), is when one makes a public declaration of their desire to have Christ as Lord of their lives by being immersed in water if physically able.
When you have made the decision to be baptized please contact the pastor, youth pastor or the church office.
